I'd highly recommend turning it entirely off when you're using any version of PSP. Using instant messengers (like AIM) will take up a ton of your resources. Downloads rely on connections and servers, etc. One day you might get great downloads-while on another there might be problems. It might be your connection on a given day, etc. These same 'experts' told me that you can, indeed, get a bad 'batch' of downloads from an entirely reliable font source, by the way. (200, max.) Otherwise you risk causing yourself a lot of Windows-related grief. You want-ideally-no more than 100 installed fonts. I've been told by authorities on the subject of fonts that you don't want to get anywhere near to 1,000 installed fonts. And can also cause erractic Windows behaviors (which can account for everything from harddrive crashes to software problems/crashes-and more.)
